  • In going to put it on my tombstone, wireless charging is a alternative rather than replacement for wired charging. Also, Motorola ditched the headphone jack first, Apple was just the bigger company that more people noticed when they did it.

  • As much as wireless charging, solar charging, etc would sound I am VERY much in favor of backups and redundancy. Even if we all had pretty much wireless charging phones in 10 years, I'd still want a cable port --- so if I went somewhere that COULDN'T charge a phone wirelessly .....

  • If apple made true wireless charging, they could just call it “Airpower”

  • Sure, progress can't be stopped - and nether should it be, of course. Progress is a good thing at the end of the day. My real qualm with this is that whenever any such kind of parasigm shift occurs, the end is alway that we, the users, will need new, more expensive solutions to enjoy it - like the wireless earbuds versus the cheaper wired ones. Progress - at a cost to the end user. I'm not saying it's an unfair deal - why should progress and the bump it brings to the userss' quality of life be expected to be free? But still, the bottom line is that once again, another aspect of having a smart device will become costlier: the power it runs on. That's the price of progress? Probably. And this is how life goes. The sad thing is that my salary won't see a bump when this thing becomes the norm :(

  • I think they should make a phone with a battery that charges itself because it has an opposite charge so the electrons in the negative will be pulled to the positive side on which u can turn this feature on whenever u want or it automatically starts charging at a chosen time or 0 percent

  • 2021 will not have an iphone with no ports, that is just silly. In one year all the infrastructure will magically appear and there will be no transition period. C’mon that is just stupid

  • In 1 you talk about having solar panels that then also power other things nearby for payment. But that's already how solar panels on your house work. Extra power is sold into the network.

Apple is only removing ports to scam us by forcing us to buy only their chargers and im a samsung user we arnt scammed. Power becoming currency would be a monopoly and a way to make money do it wouldnt happen.

    Abhishek BamhiAbhishek Bamhi4 महिन्यांपूर्वी
  • Ok this idea may sound innovative but I disliked it for a number of reasons. Firstly it is only feasible in rich countries where there are no power blackouts. Also the more power you are transmitting the more energy it carries in the form of radiation because if higher power transmission is required then the frequency also has to be increased and higher frequency waves undoubtedly harm living cells. And lastly if this wireless transmission were to be implemented worldwide huge amounts of energy will be wasted because it will not be as efficient as wired charging. Now this may sound very cool to tech savvy people but I think it will only add to more complications and expenses.but I appreciate you taking an insight in the near future. Love your content. Keep it up!
